Who we probably should have been relying on all along, instead of TVMediaInsights. They have some different and possibly more accurate numbers reported on the reruns, compared to that site too. It looks kind of bleak from the first-run AND from the second run.
In short: it looks like you don’t get your hopes up for season 5, but if it comes, that’s cool
- Superhell!: 0.7 HH ratings, 1.490 mil viewers
- The Last Pack: 0.7 HH ratings, 1.544 viewers
- Jean, Paul, Beefy, and Alice: 0.5 HH ratings, 1.061 viewers
- The Superjail! Inquisitor: 0.7 HH ratings, 1.411 viewers
- Superstorm!: 0.6 HH ratings, 1.280 viewers
- The Superjail! Six: 0.7 HH ratings, 1.514 viewers
While rerun ratings could have improved the show’s chance, also remember that it wouldn’t be out of the norm for Adult Swim to quietly cancel/not renew something.
Let’s look at the rerun numbers:
Reruns from July 27-Sept.14:
- Superhell!: 0.7 HH ratings, 1.545 viewers
- The Last Pack: 0.8 HH ratings, 1.391 viewers
- Jean, Paul, Beefy, and Alice: 0.6 HH ratings, 1.241 viewers
- The Superjail! Inquisitor: 0.6 HH ratings, 1.345 viewers
- Superstorm!: 0.5 HH ratings, 1.212 viewers
- The Superjail! Six: 0.5 HH ratings, 1.220 viewers
Much lower than reported elsewhere…season 3 managed higher on its reruns, didn’t it? While cable and lower budget shows can work differently and some might not need much higher ratings, 0.5 seems to be the “on the bubble” mark.
Also remember that if the weeks look off on the reruns, Adult Swim had inexplicably pre-empted “Superstorm!” for Robot Chicken one night so you missed a weekend.
